Gombrich’s Lecture Series on “Buddha and Buddhist Thought”

Richard F. Gombrich, former Bowden Professor of Sanskrit at The University of Oxford, began teaching an intensive summer course on “The Buddha: Buddhist Thought and Culture” at Dongguk University International Summer School on 3 July 2008. This lecture series is based on a new book that Professor Gombrich plans to release in the coming year. This three-hour lecture series will continue until 15 July 2008.

Our Departure for Seoul in June 2008

We left London Heathrow on 29th June 2008 for Seoul. We did not forget the Duty Free shops (Photo: Catherine, Theresa, Katharina, Mahinda, Hannah, Sophie and Emily).

We had a safe arrival in Dongguk University on 30th June. We were taken to the University from the airport and began our orientation right away on the same day.

On the following day, we had a group meeting with Professor Soonil Hwang of Dongguk University and the group photo was taken in front of the main University building.
